The companies in Globalside, LLC. family (collectively, "Total Prudence") recognize the importance of protecting all information that you, our online visitor, may choose to provide to us. (For purposes of this policy, references to "we", or "us", and "our" mean both of Total Prudence. To further this commitment, we have adopted this Online Privacy Policy to tell you how each of us collects, uses, stores, and shares the information you provide to us online.

What information does this Online Privacy Policy cover?

 

This Online Privacy Policy only applies to personal information collected on websites with a link to this Online Privacy Policy, and does not apply to information collected by either of us through any other means.

It covers how we collect, use, store, and share personal information as of the date that this Online Privacy Policy is posted.

It also covers information submitted and collected online, and does not necessarily apply to information that we collect offline.

And it only covers websites maintained by Total Prudence for its operations. Also, this policy doesn't apply to any other websites maintained by other companies or organizations to which we link. Total Prudence is not responsible for the content or activities provided on those websites.

What types of personal information do we collect about our online visitors?

Personal information is information that identifies you. We only collect personal information voluntarily given to us by our visitors. Generally, we don't require you to give us personal information to access public areas of our website. Certain secure web areas, however, enable or require you to provide personal information online when you use specific features on our website. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

 

Information We Collect Through Technology

We collect information through technology to enhance our ability to serve you. For example, when you come to one of our websites, we collect your IP address. An IP address is often associated with the portal you used to enter the Internet, like your ISP (Internet service provider), company, association, or university. Standing alone, however, your IP address is not personally identifiable information. At times, we also use IP addresses to study how often our visitors visit various areas of our websites. Network Advertisers. Advertisements managed by third parties may be placed on our websites. These companies are called 'network advertisers.' Network advertisers placing advertisements on our websites may also use cookies and web beacons to collect information when you click on or move your cursor over one of their banner advertisements. You may not realize this information is being collected. Finally, once you've clicked on an advertisement and have left our websites, our Online Privacy Policy no longer applies, and you must read the privacy policy of the advertiser to see how your personal information will be handled on their website.

When you send an e-card describing any of our products to your friends and family, we delete both sender and recipient email address information after you send the e-card.

From time to time, we may purchase a business or sell one or more of our businesses and your personal information may be transferred as a part of the purchase or sale. If we purchase a business, the personal information received with that business would be treated in accordance with all of our privacy policies, including this Online Privacy Policy, if it is practicable and permissible to do so. If we sell a business, we will include provisions in the selling contract requiring the purchaser to treat your personal information in the same way required by our privacy policies, if it is practicable and permissible to do so. The provisions of this paragraph will also apply if we are sold as part of bankruptcy proceedings.

We may disclose any information as permitted or required by law, when we believe in good faith it is necessary for safety purposes, required for legal reporting, or to protect our legal rights or to enforce our Terms of Use or any contest rules. We don't share our customer's personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

If you signed up to receive newsletters or other e-mail messages from us, you can opt-out any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message.

What kinds of security measures do we take to safeguard your personal information?

The security and confidentiality of your information is extremely important to us. Total Prudence Account Customer Privacy Notice

We know that you buy our products and services because you trust us. This notice explains how we protect your privacy and treat your personal information. It applies to current and former customers. "Personal information" here means anything we know about you personally.

Protecting Your Information:

We take important steps to protect your personal information. We treat it as confidential. We tell our employees to take care in handling it. Before sharing your information with an affiliate for its own marketing purposes or a joint marketing partner, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to "opt out." Depending on your product or service, we may give the "opt-out" form when we first issue your policy or open your account. If you hold a policy or account jointly with someone else, we will accept instructions from either of you, and apply them to the entire policy or account

 

Accessing and Correcting Your Information:

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we have about you. Generally, we will provide it as long as it is reasonably retrievable and within our control. You must make your request in writing listing the account or policy numbers with the information you want to access. For legal reasons, we may not show you anything we learned as part of a claim or lawsuit, unless required by law.

If you tell us that what we know about you is incorrect, we will review it. If we agree, we will update our records. Otherwise, you may dispute our findings in writing, and we will include your statement whenever we give your disputed information to anyone outside Total Prudence.

The material below describes our privacy policy and describes how we treat the information we receive about you if you become a current or former Total Prudence customer, or apply for any of our products or services.

 

We Need to Know About You

We need to know about you so that we can provide you with the insurance and other products and services you've asked for. We may also need information from you and others to help us verify your identity in order to prevent money laundering and terrorism.

What we need to know about you includes your address, age and other basic information. But we may have to know more about you, including your finances, employment, health, hobbies or business you conduct with us, with other GlobalSide companies (our "affiliates") or with other companies.

How We Learn About You

What we know about you we get mostly from you. But we may also have to find out more about you from other sources in order to make sure that what we know about you is correct and complete. Those sources may include your adult relatives, employers, consumer reporting agencies, health care providers and others. Some of our sources may give us reports, and they may disclose what they know about you to others.

We treat what we know about you confidentially. Our employees are told to take care in handling your information. They may get information about you only when there is a good reason to do so. We take steps to make our computer databases secure and to safeguard the information we have about you.
